WALNUT, Calif. — Sophomore Jessica Bittlerly recorded the second-best 3,000-meter steeplechase performance in UTSA women's track & field history to highlight five season bests by the Roadrunners at this weekend's Mt. SAC Relays.

Bitterly raced to an 11:16.29 on Thursday evening en route to a 23rd-place showing and that shaved more than 11 seconds of her previous career best. It marked her third personal record to open the campaign and she now ranks fourth on the Southland Conference leaderboard.

Meanwhile, freshman Grace Williamson clocked a season-best 2:11.74 in Friday's 800m and that performance vauled her to second in the league standings.

Freshman Krystal Wynn recorded a 24.26 in the 200m, which was good for 12th in the field of 47 sprinters and the Euless native now ranks third in the conference behind the UT Arlington duo of Shannon Reynolds (23.94) and DeAndrea Smith (24.25).

UTSA's other two season bests came in the 400m when senior Shavonne Armbrister and sophomore Briony Miller ran the Hilmer Lodge Stadium oval in 56.62 and 56.69, respectively.

The Roadrunners are back in action next Saturday, April 23, at the J. Fred Duckett Twilight in Houston.
