COLLEGE STATION — Senior Eboni Johnson won the triple jump for the first victory of her career to lead UTSA at Saturday's Texas A&M 12-Team Invitational.

Competing in her specialty event for the first time this season, Johnson recorded a measurement of 39-7 ¼ (12.07m) on her third attempt of the day, which gave her a five-inch triumph over Texas A&M's Jordan Wilson.

Meanwhile, classmate Katie Bragg finished second in weight throw with toss of 57-3 (17.45m) and it marked the fifth top-two finish of her four-year career.

Sophomore Stephanie Wangui posted the Roadrunners' top running performance of the meet with her fifth-place showing in the 800 meters (2:19.67).

UTSA will return to action on Friday, Jan. 18, at the Leonard Hilton Memorial in Houston.
