IRVING — Conference USA unveiled its preliminary football television schedule for the upcoming 2014 season on Thursday and UTSA saw another eight of its games selected for broadcast.

The Roadrunners' Thursday, Sept. 4, home opener against Arizona will be shown nationally on FOX Sports 1 with a kickoff time of 7 p.m. The Wildcats handed the Roadrunners a 38-13 setback last Sept. 14 in Tucson in the first meeting between the two programs.

The following week's road contest at Oklahoma State, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 13, can be seen on FOX Sports Networks with a start time of 6 p.m. The then-13th-ranked Cowboys downed UTSA by a score of 56-35 last Sept. 7 at the Alamodome in the first of three scheduled matchups between the schools.

The Saturday, Oct. 11, Homecoming tilt against FIU (Florida International) will start at 6 p.m. on FOX College Sports. It will be the first-ever meeting between the two teams.

Four other UTSA games — at Louisiana Tech (Oct. 18), at Rice (Nov. 8), at Western Kentucky (Nov. 22) and home against North Texas (Nov. 29) — also will be televised by FOX Sports on networks, along with game times, to be announced at a later date.

Meanwhile, the Roadrunners' Thursday, Nov. 13, contest against Southern Mississippi will be shown nationally on CBS Sports Network with a kickoff time of 7 p.m. It, too, will be the inaugural matchup between the programs.

This fall will mark the fourth year of a multi-platform media rights agreement between C-USA and FOX Sports Media Group. FOX Sports 1 will broadcast a minimum of 10 regular-season C-USA contests and additional games again will be carried nationally on FOX Sports Networks' owned-and-affiliated regional networks, which reach more than 85 million homes, as well as FOX College Sports.

This season also will be the 10th year of the league's partnership with CBS Sports Network that includes significant national and regional exposure for football, men's and women's basketball and other C-USA sports. CBS Sports Network is the 24-hour home of CBS Sports and is available to more than 99 million households across the country.

Additional television exposures remain a possibility and kickoff times will be released as soon as they are finalized.

UTSA now is slated to appear over the airwaves a total of nine times this fall, as its season opener at Houston previously was announced as an ESPNU broadcast.

The Roadrunners posted a 7-5 overall record and 6-2 mark in their inaugural campaign as a member of C-USA a year ago.
