SAN ANTONIO — FOX Sports (FS) Southwest began its weekly 30-minute magazine show titled
"UTSA Football Insider," which features the school's football program, on Monday.
Hosted by veteran FS Southwest sportscaster Bill Land, the series premiere featured head coach Larry Coker, new offensive coordinator Kevin Brown, the day in the life of sophomore wide receiver Kam Jones and the Spirit of San Antonio band.
The show will give fans an all-access look of all aspects of the program
with game highlights and previews in addition to feature stories on players and
activities around the UTSA campus supporting the team throughout the 2012 campaign.
"UTSA Football Insider" will begin its regular time slot
of 4:30 p.m. each Thursday next week.
The Roadrunners enjoyed a banner inaugural season in 2011 that saw them set
NCAA start-up program records for first-game (56,743) and average home (35,521)
FS Southwest was there along the way, as it chronicled the start of the program and
its successful first season in the reality sports documentary series "UTSA
Football: The Birth of a Program."
The Roadrunners open their second season of play on Saturday, Sept. 1, at South Alabama, while UTSA's home opener will be played a week later against Texas
A&M-Commerce at the Alamodome.
