SAN ANTONIO — UTSA head football coach Larry Coker announced changes to his program’s future football schedules on Monday.

With the team’s impending move to the Western Athletic Conference (WAC), the 2012 slate has undergone many revisions.

The Oct. 20 and Oct. 27 home dates with Southern Utah and UC Davis, respectively, have been dropped, while the Sept. 8 home contest with Sam Houston State has been pushed back to Sept. 26, 2015. Meanwhile, the road tilt at Georgia State, originally scheduled for Sept. 29, now will be played at the Georgia Dome on Sept. 15.

The WAC has announced that UTSA will play league home games against San Jose State, I-35 rival Texas State and Utah State next season, while it will make trips to Idaho, Louisiana Tech and New Mexico State during its inaugural conference campaign. The dates for those six games will be announced in the spring. The previously released 2015 and ’16 dates with Louisiana Tech now will coincide with the WAC schedule.

The Roadrunners also announced that they have agreed to a home-and-home series with New Mexico in 2013-14. UTSA will open the 2013 campaign in Albuquerque on Aug. 31 and the Lobos will come to the Alamodome the following season on Oct. 4.

UTSA (2-4) returns to action on Saturday when it plays at UC Davis (1-4). Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. (CT).
