Redshirt Freshman (2011)
Started all 10 tilts at strong safety (“dawg”)… ranked fourth on the team with 59 tackles (30 solos/29 assists) and his nine for loss stood second … added three fumble recoveries, two interceptions and a pair of forced fumbles … also defended three passes and registered a half sack … had a season-high 11 stops (5 solos/6 assists), including 2.5 for loss, against Georgia State (Oct. 29) … racked up 10 (5 solos) more two weeks later at McNeese State (Nov. 12) … recovered two fumbles, picked off a pass and forced a fumble against Bacone (Sept. 24) … other interception came against Minot State (Nov. 19)… redshirted in 2010.

Prior To UTSA
A 2009 first-team Dallas Morning News all-area choice … led one of Metroplex’s top defenses with 105 tackles (61 solo), three for loss, 14 pass breakups and seven interceptions … also was named the District 6-5A Defensive Most Valuable Player … coached by Joe McBride.
