Started all 10 contests … made 35 tackles (23 solos/12 assists), registered a pair of interceptions and broke up four passes … his pick against McMurry (Sept. 10) was the first in program history … added a half dozen stops (5 solos) in that contest … had a season-high seven tackles (4 solos) in the season opener against Northeastern State (Sept. 3) … other INT came at McNeese State (Nov. 12) … redshirted in 2010.

Prior To UTSA
Earned 2009 first-team All-East Texas (Tyler Morning Telegraph), first-team all-area and first-team All-District 11-5A accolades as a senior … collected 33 tackles, intercepted five passes (one TD), broke up 12 passes and forced a pair of fumbles to help lead team to a 12-2 record and the fourth round of the state playoffs … coached by for head coach Dereck Rush.
