UTSA Football Fiesta Spring Game scheduled for Saturday at Alamodome
SAN ANTONIO — The Fourth Annual UTSA Football Fiesta Spring Game presented by HealthTexas is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Alamodome. The scrimmage will mark the conclusion of the Roadrunners’ spring season of 15 workouts.
Admission is free and parking is available for $10 in Lots A and B. Lot B will open at 10 a.m., but tailgatiing will be allowed in Lot A, which will open at 8 a.m. Please note that Fiesta Carnival is being held in Lot C beginning at 11 a.m., so parking will not be available in that lot.
Doors open at noon and fan seating will be on the east side of the Plaza Level. Concessions will be available and an autograph session with the players will take place on the field after the scrimmage.
Andy Everett, the voice of the Roadrunners, will host a one-hour pregame show at noon that will air live on Ticket 760 AM. It also can be heard online at Ticket760.com and the free iHeartRadio mobile app.
The game will pit the offense (white) against the defense (orange) and consist of four 12-minute quarters with normal clock rules the majority of the time. There also will be a 10-minute halftime.
The offense and defense will use an adjusted scoring system with the following point breakdown:
touchdown — 6
extra point — 1
two-point conversion — 2
field goal — 3
first down — 1
stop (scoreless drive) — 3
takeaway/safety — 5 (trumps a stop)
