SAN ANTONIO — UTSA announced Monday that its 2014 home opener against Arizona will be played on Thursday, Sept. 4. Originally scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 6, the second all-time meeting between the programs is scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. Television information will be announced later this spring.

The Wildcats handed the Roadrunners a 38-13 setback last Sept. 14 in Tucson in the first matchup between the two programs.

UTSA, which posted a 7-5 overall record and 6-2 mark in its inaugural campaign as a member of Conference USA, will kick off the 2014 season on Saturday, Aug. 30, at Houston. The second all-time meeting with the Cougars will be the first-ever game in the brand new Houston Football Stadium.

The Roadrunners will kick off spring drills on Wednesday, March 26, and the Fourth Annual UTSA Football Fiesta Spring Game presented by Health Texas will be played at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, at the Alamodome.
