SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will open its second season of play on Saturday when it takes on South Alabama at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. and the contest can been seen on ESPN3. Originally scheduled for Thursday night, the game was pushed back two days due to Hurricane Isaac.
The Jaguars handed the Roadrunners a 30-27 setback in double overtime last season at the Alamodome.
UTSA, which is making the jump to the Football Bowl Subdivision this fall as a member of the Western Athletic Conference, is coming off an inaugural campaign that saw it post a 4-6 record as a Football Championship Subdivision independent.
