SAN ANTONIO — The Roadrunners Sports Network announced Tuesday that it has added a Spanish-language radio broadcast to its football lineup.
All six UTSA home games will air live in Spanish on the Radio Formula Network’s K272EK 102.3 FM and KBRN 1500 AM and also online at radioformulasa.com.
Jorge Rodriguez (play-by-play) and David Miguel (analysis) will call the action. Each broadcast will include a 30-minute pregame and 15-minute postgame show.
“We welcome the addition of UTSA home football games being broadcast in Spanish through our Spanish-language radio partner, Radio Formula,” UTSA Associate AD for Marketing Jim Goodman said. “This fits our footprint of reaching out past San Antonio into South Texas and into Mexico as the only Division I college football program from San Antonio to the Rio Grande Valley, along the border and into Mexico.”
"We are thrilled to have UTSA Football as part of our programming," Radio Formula Operations Manager Alex Hernandez said. “It’s going to be a great partnership that will allow us to broadcast all six home games to our Spanish-speaking audience and introduce the team in its second season to a new demographic, thereby increasing the team's fan base and giving our audience great content."
The Roadrunners Sports Network brings fans closer to the action through live audio, radio broadcasts and live video and highlights. The flagship station for football is KPRT 92.5 FM The Patriot.
Radio Formula Network is the only Spanish FM talk radio station in San Antonio, bringing the best programming in news, sports and entertainment with the best well-known personalities in Spanish media in Mexico and the US, broadcasting simultaneously on 102.3 FM in San Antonio and 1500 AM Boerne and online at radioformulasa.com. Radio Formula also is the official station of the Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Scorpions and Mexican National Soccer Team in addition to UTSA Football.
