Brenna Ellis is in her sixth season as associate athletic trainer and 11th year overall at UTSA. She handles the medical services for the women’s basketball, women's golf and women's tennis teams.
Ellis was appointed to the NCAA Committee on Competitive Safeguards and Medical Aspects of Sports where she serves as chair of the Sports Science Safety Subcomittee. She is the Sports Sciences Coordinator for NCAA postseason championship events in San Antonio.
She is a Certified Member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, Southwest Athletic Trainers Association, and Texas State Athletic Trainers’ Association.
Ellis spent one year as an assistant athletic trainer at Towson University and was in charge of medical services for the women’s basketball, volleyball, softball and field hockey programs. She was a graduate assistant at the University of Arkansas from 1998-2000, where she received her Master of Science in Kinesiology. Ellis received her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Indiana State in 1998.
