UTSA to host Bakersfield on Wednesday night

SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will return to the hardwood after a 10-day layoff and open a stretch in which it will play five of its next six games at the Convocation Center with a 7 p.m. contest on Wednesday night against Bakersfield.

UTSA (3-6) is coming off back-to-back wins over Huston-Tillotson and Texas-Pan American and the team is averaging 77.2 points per outing in its last five games.

Meanwhile, Bakersfield (5-6) will be looking to secure its first true road win and snap a five-game losing streak.The West Coast Roadrunners swept the season series in 2012-13, including a 61-52 win in San Antonio, in what were the first two meetings between the two programs.
