DENVER, Colo. — Joel Rubio and David Kelleher both were selected to the All-Western Athletic Conference (WAC) teams, the league office announced on Thursday night.

Rubio earned first-team honors for his performance on the singles courts, while Kelleher was tabbed to the second team.

Rubio, who earned All-Southland Conference honors in doubles last season, has accumulated an 11-7 overall record in singles action this season, including a perfect 4-0 mark against WAC opponents. The Arnedo, Spain, native has won his last three matches and netted a 7-3 ledger at the No. 3 singles spot.

Meanwhile, Kelleher, a first-team All-Southland honoree at No. 5 singles a year ago, leads UTSA with a 14-7 record in singles play, including a perfect 4-0 mark in WAC matches. The Texarkana native, who has won his last three outings, is 3-0 at the fourth spot and 11-7 at the fifth position this spring.

No. 3 seed UTSA (12-10) and will face sixth-seeded UT Arlington at 11 a.m. (CT) on Friday in the WAC Tournament quarterfinals in Denver, Colo.
