Tony Baldwin is in his second year as assistant athletics communications director at UTSA. He serves as the primary contact for the baseball, men's and women's tennis and volleyball programs.
He previously was the sports information director at Concordia University Texas for the 2009-10 academic year where he oversaw the day-to-day operations of the athletics department’s 13 intercollegiate sports. During his time at Concordia, he successfully promoted the school’s first four CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VI honorees.
Baldwin served as the website content writer at the University of the Ozarks (Ark.) from 2007-09. During that time, he wrote feature stories and press releases for the public relations office.
Prior to Ozarks, Baldwin spent one year as the sports information director at Madonna University, where he served as the primary contact for 11 sports.
He spent six years at his alma mater, Concordia-Ann Arbor, both as an undergraduate student assistant and sports information director. Baldwin worked for three years as a student assistant, serving as the primary contact for the men’s and women’s soccer teams. After graduating in 2003, he was promoted to sports information director where he oversaw the department’s 10 intercollegiate sports.
Baldwin served as the official scorekeeper for the 2010 American Southwest Conference baseball tournament and also worked on the statistics crew for the 2006 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament First and Second Rounds at The Palace in Auburn Hills, Mich.
The Heber Springs, Ark., native earned his bachelor’s degree in communication from Concordia-Ann Arbor in 2003. In August 2011, he completed a master of science degree in college student personnel from Arkansas Tech University.
