After spending six years as an undergraduate and graduate assistant at Wichita State, Jordan Korphage is in his third year as an assistant athletics communications director at UTSA. Korphage is the primary media contact for the Roadrunners' women's basketball, women's golf, soccer and softball programs.
At various points during his half dozen years at WSU, Korphage served as the primary media contact for women's basketball, men's and women's golf, softball and men's and women's tennis in addition to serving as the Web master for the school's official athletics site, goshockers.com
. He also was the assistant men's basketball contact for three seasons.
Korphage served as the media coordinator for Wichita State during the program's 2006 NCAA Tournament run to the Sweet 16. He also assisted with five Missouri Valley Conference Baseball Tournaments during his tenure, including serving as the official scorer for all 13 games at the 2010 championship, as well as the 2007 Wichita Regional and Super Regional.
Korphage's other duties included assisting with gameday and stats operations at Shockers' home baseball, men's and women's basketball and volleyball events.
The Derby, Kan., native earned his bachelor's degree in communications with an emphasis in integrated marketing communications from Wichita State in 2007 and, two years later, he earned a master's in sport management.
