Taylor Newlin

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — Incoming freshman Taylor Newlin finished tied for 10th place at the Optimist International Junior Championships this past weekend with a final scorecard of 305 (73-77-80-75).

The Frisco native headed to the Haig Course (6,350 yards/par 72) clubhouse in a three-way tie for first following an opening round of one-over par 73. Newlin then registered a second-round 77 before shooting an 80 the next day. She bounced back with a three-over par 75 in the final round en route to the 10th-place showing.
