SAN ANTONIO — The men's cross country team will return to the course on Friday evening when it hosts the annual UTSA Ricardo Romo Classic presented by H-E-B. The 5,000-meter race is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. at the National Shooting Complex off Culebra Road (2 Gass Road; San Antonio, TX 78253).
The Roadrunners will welcome seven schools — Concordia Texas, Schreiner, Southwestern, Texas, Texas-Pan American, Texas A&M International and Trinity — to the meet and a total of 64 student-athletes will make up the field.

UTSA is the two-time defending meet champion and Mike Medrano was victorious a year ago.
The Roadrunners, who did not compete last weekend, are coming off their third consecutive victory at the Texas Lutheran Invitational on Sept. 7.
Led by the trio of Javier Salas (16:26.36/fourth place), Nathan Collier (16:33.85/fifth) and Daniel Belcik (16:38.19/sixth), UTSA saw five of its runners place in the top 10. Joaquin Oretgon (16:46.90) and Harvinder Singh (16:59.94) rounded out the contigent of top 10 runners by placing ninth and 10th, respectively.
