Brooks Thompson Basketball Camps to begin this weekend

SAN ANTONIO — Registration is open for the Eighth Annual Brooks Thompson Basketball Camps, which are slated for nine days this month at the Convocation Center.

Things will get underway with the two-day Father & Child Camp on June 14. It is designed to provide quality time between the father/guardian and camper and to help them become familiar with the teaching system. It is open to both boys and girls entering grades 1-12 and their father/guardian.

The annual Day Camp will run from June 17-20. It focuses on fundamentals of the game and is open to boys entering grades 1-12.

The Shooting Camp, which teaches basic fundamentals of shooting form, balance, footwork, proper release, shooting off the dribble and using screens, is slated for June 26-27. It is open to boys and girls entering grades 1-12.

On June 28, Thompson will host the High School Elite Camp, which is open to boys entering grades 9-12 for a one-day, high-intensity skills camp designed to give players the opportunity to develop advanced individual skills and team concepts.
