SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will play a pair of non-conference matches against Laredo Community College and Abilene Christian this weekend.

The Roadrunners and Palominos will square off at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the UTSA Tennis Center and UTSA will meet the Wildcats at 2:30 p.m. the following day at Fair Oaks Ranch Country Club.

The Roadrunners (7-7) have dropped four of their last five matches, including a 4-1 setback to Southern Mississippi last Friday. David Kelleher picked up UTSA's lone point at the No. 5 singles position.

Kelleher and Diogo Casa lead the Roadrunners in singles play with identical 8-5 records, while the pairing of Casa and Martin Ayala has netted a 10-2 mark at No. 1 doubles.

Laredo Community College (3-4) enters the weekend tilt ranked No. 8 in the ITA/NJCAA poll. The Palominos have lost four of their last five contests, but they earned an 8-1 victory against Johnson County (Kan.) Community College on Monday.

Meanwhile, Abilene Christian (10-10), which is scheduled to face No. 17 Texas on Saturday, is the 14th-ranked squad in the ITA/NCAA Division II poll. However, the Wildcats have dropped four consecutive contests, including a 5-4 decision to Midwestern State on Wednesday.
