FRISCO — Junior third baseman Ryan Dalton headlined a list of four UTSA players that were honored on Monday when the Southland Conference announced its annual postseason awards.

Dalton was a second-team selection, while sophomore RJ Perucki garnered third-team honors. Senior Casey Selsor and junior Daniel Rockett each were named honorable mention.

Dalton, the 2010 Southland Freshman of the Year who earned third-team accolades a year ago, led the Roadrunners with a .307 batting average, 11 doubles, nine home runs and 42 RBIs this season. The Sugar Land native also paced the squad with a .495 slugging percentage and 12 multiple RBI contests. He recorded 15 multi-hit games and swatted homers in back-to-back games four times during the campaign, including March 16-18, when he went deep in three consecutive contests against Northwestern State.

Meanwhile, Perucki, batted .284 with a half dozen doubles, one triple and 31 RBIs en route to his first league honor. The Tomball native also stole seven bases in nine attempts and led the squad with 155 assists at shortstop.

Selsor now has earned laurels from the league in back-to-back seasons, this year as a first baseman. The local product out of Reagan High School, who was named the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award watch list for the second consecutive season, leads the Southland with eight triples and was second on the team with a .302 batting average to go along with 10 doubles, a homer and 29 RBIs. He also stole a team-best 17 bases in 18 attempts.

Rockett, also a first-time honoree, hit .266 with eight doubles, two triples, five round-trippers and 40 RBIs. He was second on the squad with 13 stolen bases in 16 attempts and recorded squad bests with nine outfield assists and 18 multi-hit games.

The four All-Southland selections push 12th-year head coach Sherman Corbett's all-time total to 55.

UTSA finished its 21st campaign with a 22-32 overall record and final season in the Southland at 11-21.
