SAN ANTONIO — The inaugural Roadrunners Road Trip featuring UTSA head football coach Larry Coker will wrap up this week with a two-day journey to the Rio Grande Valley.
On Thursday, the public is invited to a UTSA Reception from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Casita Room on the second floor of Villa de Cortez (260 South Texas in Weslaco). There will be a chance to meet Coker, a two-time National Coach of the Year who guided the Miami Hurricanes to the 2001 National Championship and UTSA to a 4-6 record in its inaugural season last fall. The trip also includes a presentation to the Greater Rio Grande Valley Partnership Chamber of Commerce Board Meeting and interviews with the local media on Thursday, while Coker will be the guest speaker at the Harlingen Rotary Club Meeting on Friday.
