SAN ANTONIO — No. 6 seed UTSA will open Southland Conference Tournament play with the four-day event's first contests at 9 a.m. on Wednesday against third-seeded Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. The Roadrunners (26-30) will be in search of their third tournament title and NCAA Tournament appearance when they hit the field at Bobcat Ballpark in San Marcos.
UTSA swept the season series against the Islanders (34-22) from April 1-3 at the Bird Bath and have won five of the last six meetings. The Roadrunners lead the all-time series, 23-18.
