SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will complete its current three-match road trip on Wednesday when it travels to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi for a 7 p.m. tilt. UTSA evened its overall record at 9-9, including a 3-1 mark in Southland Conference play, following a pair of road wins last week at Stephen F. Austin and Sam Houston State. Meanwhile, senior Kendra Rowland and sophomore Whitney Walls paced the Roadrunners offensive attack with 22 (3.14 kps) 18 kills (2.57 kps), resepctively. Senior Briana Mason assisted at the net with 11 total blocks (1.83 bps). The Islanders (7-10, 1-3 SLC) split a pair of matches last week, falling to Sam Houston State in five sets before rebounding to beat Stephen F. Austin for the first time in program history. Emma Ridley posted back-to-back 26-kill performances last week to lead the A&M-Coprus Christi attack. The Phoenix, Ariz., native currently leads the conference at 3.74 kills per set. Micah Nolan collected 43 digs (4.78 dps) to pace the defensive effort last week, while Ridley chipped in with 31 digs. The Roadrunners have dominated the all-time series, winning all 12 previous meetings. UTSA is a perfect 6-0 in Corpus Christi and have swept the Islanders in three consecutive meetings.
