NEW ORLEANS, La. — Ernestine Cray and Lindsey Pew earned All-Academic honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) and the pair helped lead UTSA to team accolades for the 2013-14 academic year, the organization announced late Tuesday night.

Cray, who was a senior long and triple jumper this past season, maintains a 3.88 GPA in interdisciplinary studies, while Pew, a junior college transfer, posted a perfect 4.00 GPA in her first campaign pole vaulting for the Roadrunners. Both athletes earned Conference USA Academic Medals earlier in the spring in addition to being named to the league's Commissioner's Honor Roll.

To qualify, student-athletes must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and met at least one of two athletics standards. For the indoor season, a student-athlete must have finished the regular season ranked in the national top 96 in an individual event on the official NCAA POP list provided by TFRRS.org. For the outdoor season, a student-athlete must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Championships.

Meanwhile, UTSA posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.01 last season and was one of 208 squads recognized by the USTFCCCA.

To qualify, teams must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better.
