· Middle Tennessee is the No. 1 choice of Tennessee undergraduates and it offers more than 200 student organizations.

· The university recently opened a new $65 million, 211,000-square-foot Student Union Building. It is as long as one-and-one-half football fields and a state-of-the-art conference and meeting center.

· Work is underway on a new $147-million Science Building project. This 250,000-square-foot facility, to be ready in time for the Spring 2015 semester, represents one of the most significant investments made toward the enhancement of science and technology education in the state of Tennessee.

· MTSU’s offers a new doctor of education in assessment, learning and school improvement program, the first of its kind in Tennessee. It was designed by teachers and administrators and specifically focuses on tools and skills needed by leadership of today’s schools and districts.

· In 12 years in the Sun Belt Conference, the Blue Raiders won eight All-Sports trophies, 54 conference championships and had four Athletes of the Year and 38 Coach of the Year recipients.

· Middle Tennessee's Aerospace Department is one of the nation’s finest with fleet of more than 25 planes. It has one of the largest university Air Traffic Collegiate Training Initiative (AT-CTI) programs in the country. This program allows graduates to be recommended to the Federal Aviation Administration for the final segment of Air Traffic Controller Training and hiring. AT-CTI is independent of the five aerospace concentrations, allowing any MTSU Aerospace student to enter the program. Aerospace graduates hold responsible positions with companies throughout the United States and internationally.

· MTSU is home to America’s premier concrete industry management program where job placement is better than 90 percent.
