RUSTON, La. — UTSA was swept by No. 63 Denver in Western Athletic Conference action on Friday at the Louisiana Tech Tennis Complex.

The Roadrunners (5-8, 0-2 WAC) were unable to pick up their first WAC victory after winning only one doubles match and falling in all six singles contests.

The Pioneers (10-3, 3-0 WAC) won all but one of the singles matchups in straight sets.

Alena Shichkova pushed Emma Isberg to a third set, but lost the final frame 10-2.

UTSA will take on Utah State at 2 p.m. Saturday.
