SAN ANTONIO — The Roadrunners Sports Network has added Kerrville radio station KRZS 99.9 FM The Rose to its football broadcast lineup, the UTSA Athletics Department announced on Wednesday.
KRZS 99.9 FM The Rose will carry all 12 Roadrunners football game broadcasts this season beginning with the Aug. 30 season opener at South Alabama.
“As we continue to build the UTSA brand and football program, we want to expand our reach to areas surrounding San Antonio," Associate Athletics Director for Marketing Jim Goodman said. "Kerrville and the Hill Country are a great addition and we welcome The Rose to the Roadrunners Sports Network.”
"The level of interest in UTSA football is very high throughout the Texas Hill Country and growing stronger every day with the attractive schedule of games for the upcoming season," KRZS co-owner Tom Herring said. "The Rose is proud to be the exclusive Texas Hill Country home for the 2012 season."
The Roadrunners Sports Network brings fans closer to the action through live audio, radio broadcasts and live video and highlights. The flagship station for football is KPRT 92.5 FM The Patriot. Andy Everett (play-by-play) and Ed Suarez (analysis) will return to the booth to call all 12 contests this season. All broadcasts also can be heard online at goUTSA.com or on your mobile device with the free iHeartRadio app.
