NEW ORLEANS, La. — Georgia State announced Monday that its Sept. 15 home football contest with UTSA will kick off at 5 p.m. (CT) at the Georgia Dome. The announcement completes the Roadrunners' 2012 schedule.
UTSA, which posted a 4-6 record a year ago, handed the Panthers a 17-14 overtime setback last season in front of 25,977 fans at the Alamodome.
The Roadrunners are coming off a 2011 campaign that saw them establish new NCAA startup program records for first-game
(56,743) and single-season (35,521) attendance.
UTSA will begin its second year
of play at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 30, at South Alabama.
Season tickets and "WAC Pack" mini plans currently are on sale for
the upcoming season, which will be the program's first and only in
the Western Athletic Conference before they move to Conference USA in
